CELEBRATING HOPE AND NEW BEGINNINGS
As we enter the Easter season, we at Fleurenville Aged Care look forward to celebrating the values of kindness, compassion and community that are at the heart of our mission to provide the best possible care to our residents.
This time of the year is filled with joy, hope and new beginnings, and we are honoured to be a part of your celebrations! Easter Sunday, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is the most important day of the year for Christians. It is a time to reflect on hope, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings.
To celebrate Easter, we have planned a range of activities at Fleurenville that promote socialisation, cognitive and motor skills, and engagement. There is something for everyone, from Easter egg hunts to craft workshops and sing-a-longs. Did you know that egg painting dates to a Ukrainian tradition? This colourful custom, originally made with wax and dyes, is known as pysanka ("pih-sahn-kah").
Our culinary team has been hard at work on a delicious Easter menu that celebrates the flavours of the season. A range of dietary options is available to our residents to ensure that everyone can enjoy a delicious meal that meets their specific needs and preferences.
When we think of Easter, chocolate, hot-cross buns, and eggs usually come to mind. But did you know that pretzels are also an Easter snack? Pretzels are associated with Easter because the twists resemble arms crossing in prayer. And speaking of chocolates, did you know that Cadbury's makes 500 million Creme Eggs every year? If you stacked them on top of each other, it would be ten times higher than Mount Everest!
As we celebrate Easter, we want to thank our residents and their families for entrusting us with their care. We believe Easter is a great opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our residents and their families, and we are proud to be a part of their journey. But we would also like to thank our dedicated staff for their hard work and tireless commitment to our residents. Your compassion, dedication and hard work are truly the heart of Fleurenville, and we are grateful for all you do. We want you to know that we appreciate you, and we hope you, too, can take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our community.
We wish you all a blessed and peaceful Easter season full of joy, hope and new beginnings.
