For many of us, December is the beginning of the holiday season with the familiar traditions of food, family and friends. At Fleurenville, tradition extends far beyond the holiday season. It is a time to pause. And reflect. And count our many blessings in life. Recalibrating. Recharging. And refocusing on what is important in life. It is a time for expressing gratitude, and indeed, we all have much to be grateful for.
Caring for our residents has been at the heart of our service. We have maintained a tradition of excellence and exceeded our high standards for quality care, exceptional employees, and customer satisfaction. While aged care has changed dramatically and continues to evolve, our mission and vision have remained consistent – to lead the way in aged care through innovation, respect, service excellence, and compassionate care.
Make no doubt about it. The events of the last two years changed our lives in profound ways. Many experienced loss, fear, and challenges that were previously unimaginable. However, as we continue to successfully emerge from the very real challenges we endured together, this holiday season could not come at a more opportune time. As we look forward, there is a tremendous reason for hope, optimism, and genuine happiness. December this year represents a significant positive point in so many ways.
It is the perfect time to honour our nurses, therapists, social workers, aides, and others who play a critical role in the lives of our residents and families in our care. The depth and breadth of the services provided by our dedicated staff are, quite literally, unmatched by any other aged care provider in our region. This month is also a fitting time to thank our partners in care. With the increasing complexity of aged care today, we could not have the significant impact we do without the collaborative relationships we share with many healthcare partners, area hospitals, physician groups, and more. The many ways we all collaborate strengthen Fleurenville as a whole and bring value and quality to our aged care experience.
Finally, and most importantly, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to YOU, our residents, for placing your trust in Fleurenville.
From my family to yours, I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday and an enjoyable start to this season of traditions.
